    Alex Nelson

Alex Nelson is a seasoned and licensed Senior Electrical Engineer whose prior focus on process improvement and efficiency in every aspect of a project has allowed him to tackle large scale projects singularly.  Alex utilizes third-party add-ins to develop a central database for power distribution, mechanical equipment, and other tasks, significantly streamlining design processes in Revit.  This effort establishes batch processes for printing progress sets and sending out email notifications, enhancing organizational efforts across the company. Alex also managed the power distribution and mechanical power-related systems in the Revit model for an $802M, 850,000 square foot critical operations government facility. He also mentored younger engineers on best design practices within Revit.   Prior to CM, Alex worked as an Associate Electrical Engineer, primarily designing all types of buildings, including correctional facilities, schools, and airports to name a few.  Alex demonstrates the ability to work independently on projects and utilizes that opportunity to absorb as much knowledge as possible on electrical design.  This includes project design and specification requirements for power distribution, light fixtures and lighting control, along with special systems.  His special systems knowledge includes communication systems, fire alarm, and access control.   When Alex isn’t working, he likes to explore where future technology is headed and figuring out how to safely implement it in his day to day.   Download Resume
